This large c. 1880 Victorian waist perfume is marked with R. Blackinton & Co. original trademark, the horizontal sword (hilt on left) with the block B, numbered 8184 and hallmarked STERLING. There is a gold wash over the sterling which is non-existent on the floral design. I do not know if the flowers originally had the wash. There are five bezel set 4 mm amethysts around the top and one 9 mm amethyst at the very top. The cut crystal "vial" is a 10-sided torpedo shape. There are minor flakes to the rim of the bottom of the original dauber. There "seems" to be a minor chip from the bottom of the vial. I say "seems" because it feels rough in one spot but I cannot see it myself. The cameo is in a rose gold-filled bezel surrounded by a yellow woven gold-filled frame and retains its original c-hook and trombone clasp. [There are three stress fractures to the right of the profile. They do not penetrate the front of the shell. In addition to the photos visible by clicking on the top thumbnail which show the true color of the cameo and frame, the photos shown by clicking on the bottom thumbnail were taken with a light source directly on the reverse of the cameo to show just where the stress fractures are. This is a truly spectacular ring.$ 6750.00 NN854 Antique Victorian 18 Karat Etruscan Revival Micromosaic Pendant/Brooch. This minutely detailed micromosiac brooch set in an unusual gorgeous blue porcelain surround depicts the remains of the Roman Forum, a popular tourist site among the ancient ruins of Rome. It represents one of the finest early micromosaic items produced primarily for the developing 'tourist' trade of the Grand Tour era and likely dates to 1860 to 1880s. It is bezel set in an Etruscan Revival 18 karat (tests) gold pendant mounting with an applied twisted rope surround and a hanging elongated diamond shaped pendant with applied rope and bead design.
