Simply spectacular Ch. F. Tissot circa 1855 18 karat rosey yellow gold, black enamel and rose cut diamond, stem wind, pin set, ladies hunting case, Swiss cylinder lapel pocket watch. Porcelain dial has Roman numerals with Arabic five minute markers, an off-center second hand dial with Arabic numerals, Breguet "moon" hands, ruby jewels, cylinder escapement. Ornate gold case is engraved with floral motif and center black enamel area is set with rose cut diamonds, rim has an alternating black enamel and gold Greek key design. The watch hangs from an 18 karat gold watch pin with black enameling set with six (6) rose cut diamonds, marked T. B. STARR INC for Theodore B. Starr, New York, New York established in 1862. The front of the case has 34 (thirty-four) rose cut diamonds measuring from 1.0mm to 1.75mm and one additional diamond for the "flower" center measuring approximately 2.75mm. The back of the case has fifteen (15) rose cut diamonds measuring from 1.0mm to 1.75mm. All diamonds are present.
The watch pin has six (6) rose cut diamonds measuring approximately 2mm each. A rare, exceptional, stunning and highly collectible treasure. A truly magnificent time piece. |
